The Jigawa Young Professionals Forum (JYPF) has conferred a service award on the former Vice-Chancellor, Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa, Professor Abdullah Yusufu Ribadu.

Professor Ribadu served as pioneer VC of the university between 2013 and 2018.

The award presentation ceremony was part of the events organised by JYPF to commemorate the 28th anniversary of the creation of Jigawa State.

The forum, whose major objective is empowering the young people in the state, to honoured Prof Ribadu in appreciation to his selfless service to the state in particular and humanity in general.

Prof Ribadu, who was in company of his daughters, Dr Asma’u, Hadiza and Zainab, expressed appreciation for the gesture and lauded the forum for their developmental initiatives.

The event was attended by Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar among others.
