JMG marks 28 years, reiterates commitment to sustainable energy solutions

As JMG Limited celebrates 28 years of operations, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating Nigeria’s transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions through innovative renewable energy projects and future-focused engineering services.

Since its establishment in June 1998, JMG has consistently evolved to meet the changing needs of businesses and industries across Nigeria. Over the years, the company has expanded its portfolio beyond power generation to include electrical infrastructure, cooling systems, elevators and escalators, compressed air solutions, and renewable energy technologies, supporting critical sectors of the economy with reliable and efficient solutions.

A key milestone in the company’s growth journey has been its increasing investment in sustainable energy technologies.

Recently, JMG commissioned solar hybrid power systems at three NIPCO fuel stations located in Gwagwalada, Lekki, and Mpape. The projects provide uninterrupted clean energy through a combination of solar photovoltaic arrays, lithium battery storage systems, and intelligent inverter technology.

According to the company, the installations have eliminated dependence on diesel-powered generation while delivering substantial annual energy cost savings. The projects highlight the growing viability of renewable energy solutions for businesses seeking dependable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly power alternatives.

Speaking on the company’s 28th anniversary, Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, emphasized that innovation remains at the heart of JMG’s long-term growth strategy.

“Twenty-eight years ago, JMG was founded with a mission to provide dependable power solutions. Today, we have grown into a comprehensive electromechanical solutions provider, delivering technologies that help businesses operate efficiently, sustainably, and competitively. As we look ahead, we remain committed to advancing innovation and supporting Nigeria’s industrial and economic development,” he said.

Over nearly three decades, JMG has built a reputation for delivering integrated engineering solutions that address some of Nigeria’s most pressing infrastructure and energy challenges. The company’s continued expansion into renewable energy reflects a broader commitment to sustainability and aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency.
