Speaking in Lambu village of Tofa Local Government Area, Risqua, who is son to late Head of State Murtala Muhammad, said the tour of local government areas in the state has shown that PDP and Jonathan were popular in the state.
“Our campaigns in the state have shown us that the popularity of the PDP in the state is strong and growing. President Jonathan has support in Kano as you can see. The truth is that in politics, you support a party and not individuals and as such we are supporting all the candidates of our party for us to record landslide victory during the forthcoming elections. We are all working together, we are one in Kano PDP.”
Muhammad  said the party would defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in all the elective positions during the forthcoming elections.
Risqua averred that Sagir Takai, the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state, was more popular than Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of the APC.
He said: “We have a governorship candidate who is very God fearing, truthful and honest. People are supporting us because they know if voted in, Takai would bring about development in the state. The people will do whatever they can to ensure our victory. We will win the coming elections, the next time you will interview me will be in government house.”
