This is the fourth time Atiku Abubakar will run in a presidential election

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of accumulating debt for Nigeria instead of reducing the country’s debt burden.

Atiku, who made the allegation while declaring his intention to contest for the presidency on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Shehu Musa ‘Yar’adua center in Abuja on Wednesday, noted that he and former President Olusegun Obasanjo had helped reduce Nigerian debt burden by 2007.

The former Vice-President  said the 2015 election should be a turning point for making life better for the Nigerian youth lamenting that the country’s investment climate is worsening.

He said nobody has been held responsible for the immigration recruitment tragedy that claimed the lives of more than 15 job seekers earlier this year.

He said Nigeria has a huge and serious governance deficit likening the situation to an aero plane on autopilot mode without anybody in charge.

Atiku said he has what it takes to play trans-generational role to bring people together and turn things around for a better  Nigeria.
