“I have put in place a new and reinvigorated national security strategy, to combat the threat to our safety,” he said, as he also called on Nigerians to support the government in the fight against insecurity.

Meanwhile, President Jonathan yesterday swore-in Alhaji Isa Bello Sali as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation with a directive to enforce discipline in order to strengthen the service to achieve its goals in line with the transformation agenda of the Federal Government. Jonathan said this yesterday in his remarks shortly after administering oath at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja. Sali took over from Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, who retired on Thursday, September 29.
