A former President, Goodluck Jonathan, and Bayelsa state Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, are billed to attend the 5th annual lecture organized by the Federated Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council on Thursday.
The former President and Governor Dickson, will attend as special guests during the lecture themed: “The Quest For A People’s Governor: A Case For Bayelsa State” which will hold on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the conference hall of the NUJ secretariat along Azikoro Road in Yenagoa.
A statement by the planning committee chairman, Mr Samuel Ese, said the lecture will be chaired by the Chairman, Committee on NDDC projects in Bayelsa state, Engr. Charles Ambaowei, while Mr. Braeyi Ekiye, former Principal Secretary to ex-President Jonathan and publisher of Environment Watch Newspaper will be Guest Lecturer.
He said Senator Nimi Barigha Amange, will be the Keynote Speaker, while Arch. Reuben Okoya, King A.J Turner, Chief Timi Alaibe, Amb. Godknows Igali, and Chief Benson Agadaga will attend as guests of honour.
He said the lecture will afford Bayelsans the opportunity to share their views on the 2019 governorship election in the state and the qualities the next occupant of Creek Haven should possess.
