Nasir, who didn’t name the governors, however said he was worried by statements in the newspapers, where governors engage the president in exchange of words.
“If you read, even in today’s papers, you will see that His Excellency the Governor was exchanging words with His Excellency the President of this country. If we allow our leaders to be quarrelling in the market every day, we shouldn’t do that.    
“It is wrong for any leader in this country to be fighting in the market. How do you really think we can stop terrorism in this country when this leader is fighting some leader? Our first port of call is to appeal to Mr President, he is the head of this nation, he is supposed to tolerate more than anybody else; that is leadership. We do appeal to Mr President to have more patience, to swallow more.
“We appeal to all the governors to have more patience; to swallow more. We appeal to our leaders we have no alternative but patience.  We are appealing through Mr President that they should come together, bury the hatchet, swallow all these things and then, there will be no more market quarrelling on issues of security from our leaders,” he said.
However, Sergeant Awuse, while agreeing with Nasir, said Jonathan deserves respect from governors, advising those insulting him to stop doing that.
