Jonathan queries Moro, Parradang over immigration recruitment tragedy

Interior Minister Abba MoroPresident Goodluck Jonathan today queried Interior Minister Abba Moro and Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) David Shikfu Parradang over the death of some applicants at the recruitment exercise held Saturday.

Moro and Parradang were summoned to brief the president on the incident.

They were grilled inside the president’s office for over three hours.

The minister and the NIS boss were led out of the president’s office by the Chief of Staff to the president, General Jones Arogbofa.

Moro and Parradang refused to talk to State House correspondents on the outcome of their briefing to the president.

Our correspondent observed that they were looking downcast while stepping out of the Presidential Villa.

Sources privy to the meeting hinted that the president expressed disappointment over the incident.
