The APC national secretary, who spoke with newsmen in his office in Abuja, said the president’s speeches have been characterised by inconsistencies and contradictions making more people to see through the deceit of the PDP.
He said Nigerians are highly enlightened people and had seen the contradiction when Jonathan as  president  exonerated MEND from the October 2010 Eagle Square bombing only for him to now claim they wanted to kill him. “That is why I said Nigerians do not believe the PDP anymore,” he said.
“Everybody in the country is demanding for change, and that change is because everybody has realised there is a systematic failure at all areas especially security, people cannot even go to worship without being screened.
 “The citizens have realised they are not protected and without security no meaningful achievement can be attained. Everything is collapsing.  So Nigerians are clamouring for change,” Buni said
He said the driving force of the campaign for a ruling party should have been its achievements, “but you can now see out of desperation and emptiness and because they have nothing to offer, they have left the issues and are now attacking candidates and persons. That tells you they know they are losing the election because they know Nigerians are no longer with them.”
