“My expectations are that the report will be submitted and dumped by the government as no faction of the ruling class can muster the political will to implement the basic recommendations.
“There is no basis for doctoring the report. The report won’t be doctored as the delegates had approved it. That did not feature in the agenda of the conference.
“No reference to tenure elongation in the report. Since the president is going for another election there is no basis for tenure extension.
“I have no fears. Once the report is submitted the struggle for the implementation of the recommendation will commence.
“For those of us representing the civil society, we are going to popularise the recipient of recommendations for the justiciability of socio-economic rights like right to education, health, payment of unemployment benefits, abolition of immunity, abolition of the doctrine of locus standi to promote price accountability, creation of anti corruption court and electoral offences tribunal etc.”
