NSE bided for the World Engineering Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure (WECSI 2014) and won its hosting right under the auspices of the World Federation of Engineering Organisation (WEFO).
“Nigerian engineers are indeed elated for the opportunity to host their counterparts from around the globe in Abuja…to share experiences on how to best tackle developmental challenges.
“We believe that WESCI 2014 won’t only add impetus to solutions for Africa’s development, it will also provide the platform for engineers to showcase recent concepts, products and innovations that will enhance infrastructural delivery on the continent,” the NSE president said at a press briefing Wednesday.
Over 5,000 delegates and dignitaries within and outside Nigeria will be present.
It is expected that Senate President David Mark, Speaker House of Representatives Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and ministers will grace the occasion.
The chairperson of African Union, Dr (Ms) Nosazama Dlamini-Zuma is special guest.
