The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Most Reverend Mathew Ishaya Audu, has called on Christians and Muslims in Plateau State to initiate dialogue aimed at achieving peaceful coexistence among them.
The clergyman, who made the call when he paid a visit to the Hausa Community of Bukuru, in Jos South LGA of the state, said dialogue was the only way to attain peace and communal harmony.

He lamented that the crisis had divided residents of the state noting, however, that peace was gradually returning to the affected areas.
In his response, the leader of the Hausa community in Bukuru, Nasiru Sulaiman, represented by his older brother, Ali Muhammad, said the people could still live together as one family by preaching peace.
Other stakeholders at the event also called on all residents of the state to embrace dialogue for enduring peace and harmony among the various ethnic groups in the state.
