Over 20 polo teams will vie for honours in the 2022 Jos Winter Polo Tournament which will gallop off on December 25 to January 2, 2023 at the popular General Hassan Polo Ground.
Polo Royals exclusively gathered that the added allure during the tournament this year would be the inaugural Charity event that would gallop off the prestigious tournament on Christmas Day and the return of the popular Miss Polo Pageant.
Three traditional cups categories with Governor’s Cup, NASCO Cup and President Cup and subsidiary prizes would be on offer and participating teams would be locked in weeklong battle royals to decide the winners of the winter polo festival.
Secretary Nigerian Polo Federation (NPF) and Jos Polo Club President, Murtala Laushi, has assured polo enthusiasts and tourists that the club will host the best winter polo fiesta that will surpass previous editions in every respect in years.

Laushi, powered by Malcomines polo team as the defending champions, told Polo Royals that every hand is on deck to deliver the most exciting Jos polo festival with the full backing of the Plateau State government and other stakeholders.
“Jos 2022 polo festival will be a festival thriving on ‘strategy, organization, excitement, competition and friendship’ that would perpetuate the new found peace in the state.
“We make a solemn promise that we will give it our all and at the end of the day everyone would say of the 2021 edition, ‘this is our annual tournament in which we are well pleased’ Laushi declares.
Vice President of Jos Polo club, Edward Fom also expressed confidence that the noble game that is all about promoting friendship, peaceful coexistence and unity among citizens of Plateau will be celebrated
