In Jos, the young and aged were seen in their new clothes going to various Eid praying grounds to observe the prescribed two raka’ats prayers.
There was security presence in all the grounds to provide security for the worshippers, at the various praying grounds while additional security personnel were deployed across the city.
Rabiu Abubakar who observed his prayer at Albayan School Jos, said “We observed the prayer peacefully. There was no any threat of disturbance. There were security operatives stationed around the school environment. We thank Allah that everything went well.’’
Another worshipper, Mubarak Musa, who observed his prayer at the Bauchi Motor Park also said, “The prayer was hitch-free. I am happy to witness this day.’’
Benue/Plateau correspondent gathered that in all the praying grounds, religious leaders had called upon Muslims to live in peace with one another and urged them to pray against the current insecurity bedeviling the country.
