Residents of Diye Dahol in Zaramaganda, Jos South LGA of Plateau State, have through communal effort embarked on the rehabilitation of the only road that passes through their community.

The road, a ring which begins from Sparkling Junction on Yakubu Gowon Way and ends at Rayfield Road, is about four kilometres.

The Youth Leader of the community, Friday Bako, said the road had been a nightmare to residents and other road users.

The Chairman of Diye Dahwol Community Development, Hitler Pwajok, said they came up with the joint effort to undertake the repair using stones and sand because of its deplorable situation.

The Head of the Community (Damanjei), Mr Gregory Davou, commended the community’s effort in ensuring that the road which had been abandoned by the present administration was rehabilitated.

Davou pleaded with Governor Simon Bako Lalong to come to the aid of the community by completing the project initiated by his predecessor, Senator Jonah David Jang.
