He said whether the team is doing well or not, the fans should remain patient and not boo the boys who have shown readiness and zeal to win.

“Nigerian fans should be patient with the team, especially when things are not moving well with them on the field of play. They are youngsters with little experience.  The more we support them, the more they are likely going to improve on their performance.

“If we boo them the same way we boor the Super Eagles in their last World Cup qualifier against the Mambas of Malawi, there will be a problem. With patience, they are capable of winning the tournament” he concluded.

Furthermore, he charged the Eaglets and their handlers to do everything humanly possible to put smiles on the faces of the teeming football fans in Nigerians by lifting the cadet U-17 World cup for the fourth time.

He therefore urged Eaglets to endear themselves to the fans by playing good football and winning their matches.

While advising Coach Obuh and his team to re-enact the performance that saw them score more than 20 goals in just about four friendly matches during their training tour of Qatar, Jossy Lad warned them against complacency and underrating of opponents in the championship.

“They should try their best to erase from Nigerian fans the memories of the poor results their teams have posted recently. Fom Obuh’s assurance, I want to believe that he has something to deliver to Nigerians.

Lad  also advised the team to be tactically and technically disciplined and the attacking squad led by Heartland FC sensational, Stanley Osaretin Okoro, to  ensure that  they convert all the goal scoring chances that come their way, adding that they should not be overwhelmed by the status of their German and Argentine opponents.
