Three other journalists also emerged victorious in Nyamira and Migori counties where former radio presenter Alice Chae won the Nyamira county women representative. Beauttah Omanga, a former regional editor of The Standard won the Bogichora ward county seat after defeating closest challenger Ms Lucy Nyachiro by 3,556 votes to 2,478 votes.
