A middle-aged-man, Abubakar Sani has jumped out of a second floor of a 3-storey building after he was accused of being a member of the dreaded Boko Haram group.

A resident of Gyadi-Gyadi, Sani, was identified as a member of Boko Haram group by a personnel of the Civilian Joint Task Force popularly known as civilian JTF, one Samaila Adamu.

The three-story building where the incident occurred was located at Dangi roundabout along Zaria road in Kano metropolis and it houses an office to one Saudi Arabian travel agency.

Our reporter gathered that Sani, who was suspected to be a travel  agent by the JTF operative, jumped out the window of the office when the JTF operative threatened to institute a Boko haram case against him following an argument.

Speaking to Kano Chronicle on the issue, Samaila Adamu said he was at the travel agent’s office to retrieve the money he had paid to the agency after a failed deal to arrange for a trip to Saudi Arabia for his siblings.

He explained that he met Sani and some women who had also came to solve similar problems.

He added that when he asked for one Nura, an official of the agency, Sani denied knowing anybody in the office, saying he was only given the key to the office for temporary accommodation.

“In amazement, I said to him if he is an indigene of Kano and yet he does not have a specific place to stay I think there is need to investigate him, he may be member of Boko Haram group and that is why he is hiding in the office. On hearing that he handed me the key, within a twinkle of an eye he opened the window and jumped off,’’ Adamu said.

Although Sani sustained an injury, he survived the incident.
