According to him, having emerged the highest goal scorer in the past season, every one of them knows that he is dangerous.

The former Kaduna United star told Feverpitch exclusively that the threat from the defenders who come hard on him each time they see him with the ball would not stop him from doing his business of goal scoring.

He said against Ocean Boys, he will make sure he scores in order to give victory to his side adding that the CAF Confederation Cup campaigners signed him to score goals for them.

According to him, the moment he gives defenders the impression that he is afraid of them, they would take undue advantage of it and try to frustrate him.

He however said he is counting on God for injury free season.

“Defenders have formed the habit of coming on me very hard whenever I am with the ball and this is not a surprise to me because they all look at me as the danger man that must be stopped. Some of them play fair but others adopt unprofessional means to stop me.

“This will not stop me from doing my own business. I am a born scorer and I hope to continue to score goals. Warri Wolves signed me because they believe in my ability to score so I won’t allow such rough defenders to stop me from justifying the confidence my club has in me.

“Against Ocean Boys, I hope to score. I will keep doing my best but I know it is only God that will protect me and give me the goals”.

Aneke said he has his eyes on the top goal scorers award even as he is still on two goals.

“I am going to give the present leaders of the goal scorers chart a good run for their money. I have scored only two goals so far but don’t forget that my 15 goals last season came in the second stanza. We still have a long way to go.

“In such a contest, it is not how early but how well one ends”, he stated.
