The ultimatum which starts May 19th, 2014 was contained in a communiqué jointly signed by JUSUN’s President Comrade Marwan Mustapha and General Secretary Isaiah Adetola after the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
The union said governments at all level must respect the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria as amended on the full financial autonomy of the Judiciary.
It lambasted the Chief Registrar of the Plateau State Judiciary and the state government for withholding union’s check-off dues, urging the registrar to immediately release same to the recognized caretaker committee.
“NEC in session has observed with dismay the flagrant disobedience by the state government of the judgment /order dated 13th January, 2014, delivered by Federal High Court in Abuja in respect of the full financial and independence of the State Judiciaries,” the union said.
