Judiciary determining election winners is abnormal — Bode George

Chief Olabode George

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, said yesterday that it was abnormal for the judiciary to continue to determine the winners of elections.

George, who decried the electoral woes suffered by his party in the 2023 elections, said the party should be restructured to regain its lost glory, even as he vowed to remain in the party to rebuild it to remain a formidable opposition party.

Speaking with newsmen at his Lugard Avenue office in Lagos, George, who was speaking on the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu, said the judiciary should not be the one determining who wins or loses an election.

While speaking on the state of the nation, the elder statesmen said the government needs to provide something concrete to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
