A press statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the union Comrade Kagode Igberago also condemned the “unwarranted” political crisis that has engulfed the state, which he said is taking a toll on the state judiciary.
While stating that the “the union will not hesitate to take measures to protect its members and the judiciary in general,” Igberago charged the National Judicial Council and Rivers State government to immediately address what he called an anomaly.
The union condemned the risks judiciary workers are exposed to as a result of bombings of courts as well as arrest and detention of staff over “framed up charges.”
