The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the election of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as the duly elected governor Gombe State.
A three-member panel on Thursday unanimously held that the Peoples Denocratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) failed to prove allegations of non-compliance and irregularities in their separate petitions.
In the lead judgment by Justice Orji Abadua, the panel subsequently upheld the decision of the Gombe State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the petition of Jibrin Barde of the PDP.
