Ganduje transfers power to deputy, jets out to UAE

Ganduje did this shortly before jetting out to the United Arab Emirates.

The state’s commissioner of information, Malam Muhammad Garba in a statement late Wednesday said the governor would attending an Investment Summit being facilitated by the Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF) at the Arab country and as such Gawuna will be the acting governor of Nigeria’s commerce centre.
The statement directed all commissioners, heads of extra-ministerial departments, top government functionaries, corporate and individuals to give the acting governor due recognition, support and cooperation.
It further indicated that issues seeking the attention of the governor should be communicated to the Office of the Acting Governor.
Daily Trust reports that the governor had been away from the state for several days, playing a huge part in the recently concluded APC convention held in Abuja.
This week’s state executive council meeting was held at the governor’s house in Asokoro, Abuja, after which the governor jetted out of the country.
