The team is to work in conjunction with Justice for all, a development Partner.
The CJ said that the essence of inaugurating the team is to see a better way of reducing delays in justice delivery in the state.
In his explanation, the network of the JRT is an interactive forum where knowledge, experience, lessons and best practices are shared for effective delivery of justice services for improved synergy.
He said that with the inauguration of the JRT in the State  the justice sector is now on the path of history to curb the delays in justice delivery often experienced.
Mr Bob Ariot, National Programme Manager, Justice For All, said that the team when fully operational, would address noticeable delays  in justice delivery. According to him, he said that the inauguration of the team would create room for a proper functioning of the judicial system.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Barr. Attah Ochinke said that the JRT was important because it contributes to empowering people, particularly the poor.
Represented by Barr. Ekpeyong Henshaw, Corinne said that the team would bring about communication and coordination between relevant organizations and agencies to ensure quick dispensation of justice.
“The team will help create increased awareness of the need to improve legal empowerment and access to justice’’, he said.
Earlier, the CJ called on the state government to assent to the multi-door court house and the customary court of appeal bills recently passed by the house of assembly.
According to him, if the two bills are assented to by the state government, it would help in the quick delivery of justice and better repositioning of the judicial system in the state.
