The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has extended its 21-day ultimatum issued to the CJN to compel the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Suleiman Dikko, to resolve the issues that led to the nine months old industrial crisis in the state or face industrial action.

The branch of the nion in the state had been on strike since November 13, 2018 over alleged illegal deduction of salaries of staff of High Court.

It was gathered that the situation also led to the termination of appointment of 21 of its members who participated in the ongoing industrial action.

Speaking to journalists, the national president of the union, Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu, said the national secretariat of the union decided to extend the ultimatum issued which has since expired to give room for dialogue.

Comrade Mustapha Adamu said the leadership of NLC led by Mr. Comrade Ayuba Wabba met with the governor who gave his word and commitment to broker peace between the union and its management.

Comrade Mustapha said the governor, at the meeting, disclosed that a committee headed by the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (rtd), was set up to ensure the matter wws resolved.

He said the union will wait for the outcome of the committee, adding that the state governor promised to ensure peaceful coexistence between the union and the management.
