According to the statement the number equaled the total number allocated to the airline this year.

The statement said the airline was able to conclude the exercise in less than three weeks, saying the first batch left Sokoto on October 24, 2009. The pilgrims were from Bauchi, Benue, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Niger, Taraba and Zamfara States.

The last set of intending pilgrims left Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Tuesday, November 10, 2009 barely 2 weeks to the closure of King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah and a week to the November 17, deadline given by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to all carriers to complete the airlift.  

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of Kabo Air Limited Captain Sa’idu Mohammed attributed the success to experience and dedication on the part of the management and staff as the company has been in the industry for about 30 years now.

He called for the continued cooperation of all stakeholders and also assured the pilgrims of the airline’s readiness to make the return leg a successful one.
