Kaduna: 2024 Budget Proposal Shows True Inclusivity, Corrects Mistakes of Last Eight Years

This 2024 budget proposal presented by Governor Uba Sani is a refreshing change for the people of Kaduna State. The labeling of it as a rural transformation and inclusivity budget indicates a focus on uplifting the rural areas and ensuring that they receive their fair share of resources.

Under the previous administration, there may have been a lack of attention and allocation of resources to some rural areas, leading to a disparity in development. However, with this proposal, it is promising to see that the Uba Sani administration is committed to addressing this issue and ensuring that every part of the state benefits from the dividends of democracy.

The budget of 458+ billion Naira is a significant amount and presents a great opportunity for the transformation of Kaduna State. It is essential that these funds are allocated wisely and effectively to have a tangible impact on the lives of the people living particularly in the rural areas and suburbs.

By prioritizing rural development, the Uba Sani administration shows a commitment to inclusivity and equitable distribution of resources. This approach will help bridge the gap between urban and rural areas and create a more balanced and prosperous Kaduna State.

As the budget proposal goes to the Kaduna State House of Assembly, it is crucial that it receives thorough scrutiny and support from the lawmakers. By working together, the government and the assembly can ensure that the budget is implemented effectively and that the desired transformation is achieved.

I further hail the Governor on his stands with regards security and cohesion amongst citizen when we (Elders Forum) visited him at the state house; i can authoritatively say that his commitments towards carrying out his primary duty of securing lives and properties in Kaduna state cannot be overstated. Importantly, you can tell that he is so committed in correcting the mistakes of the last 8 years by carrying everyone along.

This is indeed yet another positive step towards promoting development and equality in Kaduna State. It is an opportunity for the people of the state to witness true dividends of democracy, experience an equitable distribution of resources, as well essential leadership and governance.

Gov Uba Sani attends Christmas carol, promises to develop every part of Kaduna

Meanwhile, the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has said that his government will develop every part of Kaduna State, without minding ethnic or religious differences.

One of the most important agenda of our government is to ensure that we carry our people along. Human capital development is the most important thing. And today, I discussed with them, as I did in every forum. I try to make it clear to the people of Kaduna State that we are not concerned with any religious or ethnic differences. We are one family and we are going to work together without segregation or discrimination” he added.

Governor Sani stated this when he attended Christmas Carol, organised by the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), English Service, Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

While addressing the congregations, the governor noted that “There is no essence of governance if you can’t provide amenities to the people of Kaduna State. For me, that is key.”

Speaking further, “Another area we are looking at is trying to take development to rural areas of Kaduna State. That is why our current budget is a ‘Budget of Rural Transformation and Inclusive Development,’ so, we are going to take development to all rural areas of the state”

He further stressed that “Our women and youths who are entrepreneurs, we have set aside money in our budget to support them through their own business. We will reach deserving people who are poor, vulnerable, and underserved through our religious, community, and Non-Governmental Organisations because politicians are always looking at the next election”

The governor reiterated ” When I was sworn in on 29th of May, I tried as much as possible to carry everybody along. So, when I was invited for the Christmas Carroll, I came because when I was young, we used to participate in such kind of activities.”

“When I was young, we used to participate in such kind of activities. My father usually encourages me to attend all Christmas carols because most of our family friends are Christians. There is nothing new here. I enjoyed my coming, and I am happy when I see the citizens of Kaduna who are in this very important celebration highly happy. They are confident that Kaduna State Government would carry everyone along and will try to take development to every part of the State”.

The governor assured the gathering of his family’s commitment to celebrating Christmas with Christians in the government house.
