The District Head of Kujama, Mr. Steven Ibrahim, who was kidnapped two months ago, has been released and is back with his family.
He was kidnapped alongside another person while leaving a reservation centre near Bethel School along the Kaduna-Kujama road in November 2023.
The bandits killed the other person who was abducted alongside the district head while in their custody a few days after their abduction and dropped his corpse at a village along Kaduna-Abuja highway.
Daily Trust gathered from sources close to the district head and the community that he was released a week ago.

The District Head, Steven Ibrahim, himself confirmed his release when contacted on Wednesday.
“I returned seven days ago, that was last week Wednesday. I thank God for that,” he simply said without further comment.
A local vigilante from the area who preferred to remain anonymous, said the district head was in good spirits and prayed for God’s protection against future reoccurrence of such an unfortunate incident.
