Kaduna-Abuja road needs urgent rehabilitation

As matter of urgency, the federal government should commence the rehabilitation of the Abuja to Kaduna expressway that links to Zaria, Kano and several other northern states.
The federal government should fix the road which remains one of Nigeria’s most important petroleum products distribution routes and the road hosts several strategic installations and industrial plants.
The deplorable condition of the Abuja to Kaduna section of the road continuously poses great danger to lives and property in the surrounding communities and is causing incalculable damage and loss to many motorists who fall victims of the many potholes that litter the highway. The situation has caused high rate of fatal crashes, created gridlock and provided ample opportunities for armed robbery attacks on commuters and residents.
FERMA should immediately begin the repair of these potholes that have been left unattended to.
The strategic nature of the route necessitates heavy vehicular traffic, mainly petrol tankers and other haulage vehicles, hence the need for urgent intervention by the Federal Government.
