The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has rejected claims that it has endorsed or anointed candidates ahead of the 2027 elections, describing such reports as false and politically motivated.

In a press statement issued by the state chairman, Atiku Sankey, the party accused unnamed individuals of spreading “baseless and unfounded rumours” aimed at causing division within its ranks. 

There were reports that the party’s leadership and the state governor, Uba Sani, had already selected preferred candidates for upcoming electoral positions.

The APC dismissed these allegations out rightly, stressing that it remains committed to democratic principles, including fairness, equity, and internal democracy. 

Reaffirming its stance, the party declared that neither its leadership nor Governor Uba Sani has anointed any individual for any elective position. It added that it “has not, does not, and will not” impose candidates at any level.

The party also urged members and the public to ignore the circulating claims and avoid spreading misinformation that could undermine party cohesion.

 It warned that disciplinary measures would be taken against anyone whose actions bring the party into disrepute.

The statement  reiterated that  the APC’s commitment to unity, discipline, and transparent political processes as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 elections.
