The Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) has approved temporary locations for ram selling in Kaduna metropolis.
This was disclosed in a statement made available to the press by the head of the public affairs unit of the organisation, Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka.
According to him, the approval of the temporary markets followed a meeting between the KASUPDA and executive members of the Rams Sellers Association, Kaduna State chapter. The meeting discussed the need to continue this initiative, which has brought order and success to ram business for the past three years.
The statement further explained that in an effort to ensure urban order, security and the health of the animals, as well as avoid city congestion, the following temporary sites have been designated: Kawo Kara, Durba Kara, Rigasa Kara (train station), Barnawa KTL Quarters, Poly Road (T/Wada by Fidelity Bank) and Millennium City.

“The KASUPDA advises all ram sellers, including those coming into the state, to stay at the designated locations. Adherence to this directive will enable the government to ensure an orderly and secure environment for the business in the state,” the statement noted.
