Villagers around Iddah junction in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State woke up on Sunday morning to see two unidentified corpses, which were dumped at the junction leading to the village.

City & Crime had reported that bandits, in their large numbers, had last Wednesday night invaded the village, killing two and abducting at least 12 locals watching football at a viewing centre in the village.

Since the incident, City & Crime learnt military personnel have been patrolling the area to rescue the victims and forestall further attacks.

A community leader, John Alpha Dogo, said the two bodies, a male and a female, were sighted at Baje village around the Idah junction along the Bwari-Jere highway, the same location where four bodies that included Nabeeha’s were discovered a few months ago.

He said the discovery was coming after a youth residing in the nearby Ngami village, close to Bwari town, was killed in the bush where he went to tap palm wine.

He said, “The deceased took refuge in Ngami village after his Gyadna community was ransacked by bandits, but however took a daring decision to visit the area in order to tap palm wine, but unfortunately, he was killed there by the gunmen.

‘’His remains were retrieved with the assistance of the military convoy who arrived from the Defense College Barracks in Bwari, (formerly known as War College), on Friday, two days after he was declared missing.’’

 He said the area had been under military patrol almost on daily basis but said there was the need for the security operatives to engage local youths, who know some hiding places where the bandits could be hiding.

No immediate response from the Kaduna State Police Command on the incident.
