Kaduna Electric mourns Argungu storm victims

The management of Kaduna Electric, operators of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, has condoled victims of the heavy storm which destroyed many properties, including part of its distribution network in Argungu town, Argungu LGA of Kebbi State early yesterday.
A statement from the company late last night said preliminary investigation carried out by its engineers indicated that the destruction was as a result of heavy storm and lightening. Many properties were damaged with loss of lives in the incident which also affected electrical installations.
Four victims are currently responding to treatment at Argungu General Hospital.
A more thorough investigation into the cause of injuries and loss of lives has begun and the outcome would be made known as soon as it is completed, the company added.
“The management commiserates with all the victims and most especially, families of those that lost their lives. The board and management team led by the chairman, Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar and Engineer Garba Haruna, cut short all engagements to visit the families of the deceased and those in hospital to personally commiserate with them.
“Kaduna Electric prays to Almighty Allah to grant their souls eternal peace and give succor to their loved ones and also wish those hospitalized quick recovery”, the statement said.
