Kaduna, Kano, Abuja, others plan Eid Polo tourneys

Major Polo centers in the northern part of the country are bracing for one of its grandest moments as the Kaduna Polo Club, Kano, Abuja, Fifth Chukker and others have concluded plans to host mega Sallah Polo Tournaments to celebrate this year’s Ramadan Holiday in style.

Polo Royals can authoritatively reveal that preparations are in top gear by management of top polo clubs like Fifth Chukker & Country Polo Club in Kaduna that has already scheduled its Easter/ Eid polo tournament to excite at the lawns of the Kangimi Resort from April 11-14, 2024, to celebrate the end of the Islam and Christian religious festivities.

Other major polo centers like Kaduna Polo Club, Kano Polo Club, Guards Polo Club in Abuja and Katsina Polo Club among others, are putting finishing touches to preparations to host a special tournament as the highpoint of 2024 Sallah Holidays.

A Chieftain of Kaduna Polo Club who dropped this hint in a phone chat, told polo Royals that the Sallah holiday in Kaduna this year would be special and memorable as the management of the club is planning to host a special tournament during the holidays.

“Yes we are hoping to organize a special Sallah mini tournament this year for all the good reasons,” Kontagora reassures, adding that “Kaduna Polo Club has a tradition of hosting Sallah tournaments and the committee is pulling all stops to host another exciting and memorable event this May,” he disclosed.

Polo Royals checks also revealed that Maiduguri Polo Club, the newly inaugurated Jalingo Polo Club, Zaria Polo Club and Yola are also planning to host polo tournaments or Durbar events during the celebration scheduled to be held in the second week of April, shortly after the Ramadan fasting period.
