The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Kaduna has said that most schools in the state have inadequate facilities for girl-child education. 
The field officer of Hope for the Village Child Foundation, Barbara Nimrok said this when the coalition led school children in the state on a road walk to the Government House in Kaduna to seek government’s collaboration on schools improvement as part of events to mark the  ‘World Day of the Girl Child’. 
“Girls these days begin menstruation at early age, and when they get to school, they are not able to take care of themselves because the schools don’t have facilities to meet their needs. So, we are advocating that policies and supplies be made just as it was done in the case of textbooks and other instructional materials for the girl child. We won’t mind if we have sanitary pads and towels kept in the schools in the event that a girl needs it at any point in time,” she said.
