Kaduna LG Polls: CAN chair cautions youth against violence

The Country Director, Global Peace Foundation Nigeria, Rev. John Hayab, has challenged youth in Kaduna State to resist being used to cause problems before, during and after the forthcoming Local government elections in the state.
Speaking on Thursday during the Southern Kaduna Youth Dialogue for violence free local government elections, held in Kafanchan, Hayab said it was high time for the youth to be vanguards of change.

The one day program was organised by the foundation in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Jema’a Local Government.
Hayab, who is also the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna state urged the electorate not to mortgage their destiny by selling their votes to politicians.
Earlier, the Youth Coordinator in the local government, Solomon Samuel, urged the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
