Local government workers in Kaduna State have been advised to take full advantage of the capacity building training programmes introduced by the state government.
The advice was given by the acting President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Rayyanu Isayaku Turunku, while addressing members of the union during a statewide tour to sensitise them on the importance of the ongoing ICT training for local government staff.
Following complaints and concern from the beneficiaries about the conduct of the exercise, Com. Turunku urged the government to take urgent steps to address any problem that could hinder the success of the exercise.
Com. Rayyanu who described the initiative as one of the laudable programmes of the Gov. El Rufai-led administration, stressed the need for the government to provide the local government staff with laptops at subsidised prices.
The NULGE President also expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the ongoing promotion exercise in various centres across all the local government areas of the state.
