Kaduna State has mobilized about 500 youths from the 23 local government areas to develop the Kaduna Action Plan on Youth, Peace, and Security to ensure youth inclusiveness in leadership and decision-making.
The program was organized by the Kaduna State Ministry of Human Services and Social Development in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation as part of activities for International Youth Day.

Speaking at the programme with the theme, ‘Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages’, the Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, said the state government has fashioned a system of inclusiveness to ensure that the youths contribute to societal development.
She assured that the government is broadening the learning areas to emphasise Technical and Vocational Education which provides ready sources for employment and economic empowerment for our youths.
The Commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, Hafsat Baba, said the youths must equip themselves with skills and tap from the experiences of older people to prosper.
The state coordinator, Global Peace Development, Mrs. Chat Adamu, said the event was organised to commemorate International Youth Week with the theme, “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages.”
Two of the participants, Jelilat Abidoye and Abdulhalim Ringim, called for the consensus of the youths to push their agenda and contribute to nation-building.
