The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kaduna State, ASC Orndiir Terzungwe, and 84 other officers of the command have received awards of excellence for their outstanding performance on duty.

Terzungwe and other officers were presented with souvenirs, certificates of merit and commendation letters during the formal handover from NSCDC outgoing commandant in the state, Modu Bunu, to the new boss, Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma, yesterday, in Kaduna.

Bunu, who has also been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant General in charge of Operations at NSCDC headquarters, said the officers were presented with the awards for  demonstrating commitment, hard work and patriotism on duty, adding that the awards are aimed at motivating them and their colleagues to put in more efforts at moving the corps higher.

He charged the officers to continue to exhibit high level of professionalism in their responsibilities and extend all support and cooperation to the new commandant.
