The Kaduna State police command has arrested suspected gunrunners and motorcycle thieves in separate intelligence-led operations, recovering eight locally made firearms and four stolen motorcycles.
On August 5, 2025, operatives from Ikara division stormed Kurmin Kogi village after credible intelligence revealed the activities of armed dealers in the area.
A statement issued by the command’s public relations officer, Mansir Hassan, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said that two suspects, Isah Bello and Sa’idu Haruna, both residents of Damdami village in Soba Local Government Area, were apprehended.
According to him, a search of their hideout in a bushy area led to the recovery of four locally made weapons.

The police said Bello resisted arrest and assaulted an Inspector, injuring him in the face. He said the officer is currently receiving treatment and is in stable condition.
