Kaduna Polo Club holds AGM, elects new mgt March 28

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the iconic Kaduna Polo Club and Eid Festival tournament are scheduled to be held on Saturday March 28, at the Club House in Murtala Square Kaduna.

The uniqueness of the AGM is that this important event is billed to take place during the 2026 Kaduna Sallah Polo festival to be held from March 26-29 at the Dawule Baba Polo Ground.

It was also reliably gathered that the conference that will review the activities of the Management Committee of the club in the past two years would climax with the eagerly awaited elections that would produce a new Executive Committee for a two-year tenure.

Meanwhile, other major polo clubs across the country had late last year held their AGM and elected new Excos to run the affairs of their respective clubs.

Leading polo clubs like Katsina, Kano, Abuja Guards Polo, Minna and Yola, among others have held their AGMs.

While clubs like Minna, Katsina and Kano largely re-elected members of their management committees,  Yola Polo Club produced a brand-new leader with one of Nigeria’s promising polo patrons, Abdulrahaman Haske, taking over as the new President in one of the oldest polo clubs in the country.

Already, Port Harcourt Polo Club that hosted the polo world to its prestigious Niger Polo Festival in January, is expected to hold its 2026 AGM in May, to elect a new Exco that would prepare and host the 2027 International Polo Tournament.
