24 Hilux vehicles, two armoured tanks, a number of police motorcycles  and armed policemen are presently deployed at the Kaduna state office of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) located on off independence way.

The security personnel are acting on the order of the Commissioner of Police who has instructed that members of the union should not be allowed to move on major roads in the state to protest the sack of 36, 000 civil servants by the state governor.
