Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has assured its remaining 6,265 pilgrims in Makkah that they would all be airlifted back to Nigeria in two weeks.

The spokesman of the board, Yunusa Abdullahi gave the assurance in an interview with Daily Trust in Makkah.

He said that already 448 pilgrims from Giwa local government had returned to Nigeria in the early hours of Monday  by Medview airline.

He added that 460 pilgrims mostly from Kachia and Kaura  would be transported back home Tuesday.

Abdullahi maintained that the board would strictly adhere to its earlier stand of "first in, first out".

He added that there would not be swapping of seat unless when it is necessary.

"We will continue to treat our pilgrims equally and fairly, therefore we will strictly adhere to the rule of first to come in and first to go out without fear or favour, " he stated.

Abdullahi added:"This is our mandate and the Executive Secretary of the board, Imam Hussaini Tsoho is a man of his word," he reiterated."

Kaduna state has tne largest number of pilgrims from Nigeria that had performed the 2017 Hajj exercise in the Holy City of Makkah.

Meanwhile a fourth pilgrim from the state died just as preparations began to depart Makkah.
