In the reverse fixture Lobi Stars edged Kaduna United by 2 – 1 in Jalingo on December 12, 2010 through goals from Moses Orkuma and Chimaobi Nwaogu after Siman Yusuf had gave United a 13th minute lead.

Kaduna coach Maurice Cooreman is keen to see his side win this game though he has lost a sizeable number of his key players through transfers and trials to European clubs.

“It is a game we need to win to stay within the top half of the league and keep our confidence going for the team. We lost when we played them earlier in the season but now that doesn’t matter.

“We have lost some players who have gone to clubs in Europe in the past days but I believe that we still have a very good side in spite of the departures. But we just need to win to boost our confidence for the league as well as the (Caf) Confederation Cup

Lobi Stars first-team coach, John Zaki, is unfazed by the fact that his side are yet to win at Kaduna in three past trips dating back to August 17, 2006.
