Kaduna vigilante receives vehicle, communication gadgets

Vehicle donated to the Kaduna State Vigilante Service by Bamaje Foundation in Kaura LGA.

As part of effort to assist in curbing insecurity in parts of Southern Kaduna, the Amaje Foundation, an NGO, has donated a vehicle and communication gadgets  to the Kaduna State Vigilante Service in Kaura Local Government Area.

Speaking at the presentation of the items at the Kaura Council Secretariat, the Chief Executive Officer of Bamaje Foundation, Mathew Jerome Bature, said the donation was intended to complement government’s effort in fighting crime and expressed the hope that the vehicle and the communication gadgets would be used for their intended purpose.

Also speaking, the Local Government Administrator, Yakubu Kanwai El-Buje, described the gesture as heart-warming and appealed to well-to-do people to emulate the donors by assisting security agents in securing the area.

Responding on behalf of the service, the Commandant of the vigilante group, Rev. David Ajiat, thanked the foundation, describing the gesture as rare.

He assured that they would continue to render security services and urged the local government to assist them in maintaining the vehicle.
