Kaduna: Yero concedes, congratulates El-Rufa’i

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Saturday’s governorship elections in Kaduna state, governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has conceded defeat to his rival, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa’i of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Samuel Aruwan, spokesperson of Kaduna State APC Campaign Council said Yero telephoned El-Rufa’i around 3:00 pm and congratulated him on his victory in the election just before the announcement of the final results.

“He congratulated El-Rufa’i and wished him success, while also praying for peace and development of Kaduna state and Nigeria at large. 

“El-Rufa’i in his response thanked Yero and wished him all the best and said he hoped to see him soon.”
