Kanke youths, elders deny endorsing Pwajok

In a statement yesterday in Jos signed by its chairman, Kakme Habila Dafup, the youths said: “It has come to our notice that some unknown people of Kanke paraded themselves as elders to endorse the candidature of Senator GNS Pwajok as reported in some national dailies of 8 January 2015. Consultation have been made. No elder whatsoever is aware of such endorsement, therefore we vehemently deny such statement.”
The statement added, “We have the Grand Patron of Ngas, the Ngolong Ngas, HRH Joshua Dimlong, the Ngas Development Association and Ngas Youth Movement. These are bodies that can endorse as guided by the unity of Ngas nation. The bodies in any way cannot just pass an endorsement without consulting the general view of Ngas sons and daughters of the land,” they said.
The statement cautioned Gomwalk who is from the LGA and the running mate, saying: “To our loving brother Gomwalk, we are not against you but against the whole process. Whoever is pushing you to this game is your enemy because the Du dynasty can never be trusted. We love you but some selfish people are trying to destroy you. Your father JD Gomwalk has made Ngas proud on the Plateau and beyond, now somebody is bringing you to destroy that good name”.
