Kannywood, a hausa film industry based in Kano has condemned the recent attack on one of its famous actors, and a producer, Ahlan Sheriff by yet to be identified assailants in Kano.

Speaking through the Public Relations Officer (PRO), guild of producers Malam Usman Mu’azu, the industry described the unprecedented attack as an act of terror not only on its members but the whole industry and therefore called for immediate investigation and arrest of the assailants.

Sheriff was last Saturday attacked along Bayero University Kano (BUK) road by persons suspected to be thugs which left him hospitalised with severe machete cuts on his forehead and back.

Mu’azu however said the actor has been discharged from the hospital and he is in a stable condition.
