The Kannywood industry is grieving over the death of one of its prominent director and actor, Aminu Bono.

Friend and colleague of the late actor, Babangida Bangis revealed that the actor passed away on Monday night.

According to Bangis, the director “collapsed” and was brought to the hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead.

He also noted that the actor would be buried on Tuesday in accordance with Muslim customs.

Since his passing, fellow Kannywood stars and famous personalities have sent their condolences to the deacesed family.

On Instagram, Ali Nuhu wrote, ““I have missed a brother and a family. This is quite a significant loss for everyone in Kannywood”

National chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, also prayed for Allah’s mercy on the late director.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by Mr Ganduje’s spokesperson, Edwin Olofu, Bono’s life and times in the entertainment sector gave recognition to Kannywood.

He said, “I must admit that Aminu Surajo Bono’s exit has created a gap in the entertainment industry, and this is a reality we must contend with years ahead.”
